- Identity Data. First name, last name, username, date of birth, and gender.
- Contact Data. Address, email address, and telephone numbers.
- Verification Data. BVN, NIN, Voter's Card, Passport details, documents you upload (such as proof of address), and facial images from the selfie and liveness check.
- Employment Data. Work history, skills, references, and guarantor information.
- Financial Data. Wallet account details, payments, salary payments and transaction history.
- Technical Data. IP address, login data, browser type, and location data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To verify your identity and conduct background checks to ensure the safety of our community.
- To contact the guarantors you name, so they can confirm their details.
- To connect Employers with suitable Job Seekers.
- To process verification fees, plan payments and staff salaries.
- To manage your account and provide customer support.
- To prevent fraud and maintain the security of our Platform.
4. Disclosure of Your Information
We may share your information with:
- Service Providers. Companies that perform services for us, only for the purpose stated:
- 9PSB (9 Payment Service Bank): wallets, bank transfers and payments.
- Korapay: BVN and NIN checks.
- OpenAI: the AI help assistant, interview question suggestions, and helping our team review selfie checks.
- Termii: SMS messages and phone number verification.
- ZeptoMail: account and notification emails.
- LiveKit: in-app voice and video interviews.
- Cloudflare: secure storage of the documents and photos you upload.
- Other Users. Limited information (such as profile summaries) visible to Employers. Sensitive IDs (BVN/NIN) are never shared with other users.
- Legal Requirements. If required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
5. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we take reasonable steps, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.
6. Keeping and Deleting Your Data
We keep your data while your account is open. You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data by emailing support@unikhands.com with the subject "Data Protection" from the email address on your account. After confirming your identity we will delete or anonymise your data, except records the law requires us to keep, such as financial records, which we keep for six years.
