Hire nannies
Hire a verified nanny in Nigeria
Live-in and live-out nannies for babies, toddlers and school-age children.
A nanny spends more unsupervised time with your family than almost anyone else you employ, so identity and references matter most here. On Unik Hands every nanny who applies to your job has had her BVN and NIN checked, her address document reviewed and two guarantors confirmed before her profile was approved.
What a nanny typically does
- Feeding, bathing and dressing children, and keeping to their nap and meal routine
- School runs on foot or with the family driver, and supervising homework
- Keeping the children's rooms, clothes and toys clean and tidy
- Preparing simple meals for the children
- Night support for newborns, if you agree this in advance
Every household is different: list the duties you need in your job post.

What we check
- BVN and NIN checked with Korapay
- A recent address document reviewed by our team
- A selfie compared with the ID by our team, with AI assistance
- Two guarantors who confirm their details online
- Every profile reviewed by our team before approval
What to check yourself
- Ask how many children she has cared for, their ages, and call the families if she gives you their numbers.
- If first aid matters to you, ask about any training and see the certificate. Unik Hands does not verify first-aid or childcare certificates.
- Agree clearly who may visit the house and whether children may leave the home with her.
What to put in your job post
- The number and ages of the children
- Live-in or live-out, and the working days and hours
- Whether cooking, laundry or school runs are part of the job
- The area you live in, so applicants can judge the commute
- The monthly salary you are offering: at least ₦85,000 for a live-in job or ₦120,000 for a live-out job
Questions to ask at the interview
- What would you do if a child in your care had a high fever and you could not reach us?
- How do you handle a toddler's tantrum in public?
- Tell me about a family you worked for and why you left.
